Maintenance and updates
Not a bug fix contract. It is the work of keeping a provisioning engine running while Microsoft changes what it provisions into. Microsoft deleted the multi tenant PnP Management Shell application on 9 September 2024, and every tool built on it stopped working that day. Offered on the quote at signature, so nobody has to remember to ask later.
What ProjectPoint Is Not

Project Online Is Retiring. Here Is the Honest Version.
Project Online shuts down on 30 September 2026, and access to the project data inside it goes with the service. Export what you need before that date, whoever you end up buying from. That is the single most useful sentence on this page and it costs us nothing to write it.
A retirement date is not a reason to rush a purchase, but it is a hard reason to rush an export. At minimum, get out:
- Project and task data, including custom fields
- Timesheet and actual work history, which is the part nobody can reconstruct later
- Resource pool and assignment records
- Enterprise custom fields and lookup tables
- Anything sitting in project sites: documents, risks, issues and deliverables
- Saved reports and their underlying queries, so you know what people were actually measuring
Export to something boring and readable. CSV and Excel age better than a proprietary backup format from a vendor you may not be using in two years.
ProjectPoint does not migrate Project Online data. There is no migration tool here and we are not going to imply there is one this close to the date. If somebody needs your Project Online history moved into a new system, we are not that, and there are vendors who have shipped exactly that accelerator this year. We will name them.
What we can do is be the workspace your projects run in afterwards, and have it standing up in days rather than in a procurement cycle. If your projects are about to have nowhere to live, that is the conversation worth having.
Why Not Just Use Planner Premium?
Planner Premium is a scheduling engine
It answers what tasks, in what order, by when. That is a real job and it does it properly. It does not answer where the documents live, who has access to them, what the risks are, who the stakeholders are, or what was decided and why.
It stores in Dataverse, not SharePoint
So there is no project site, no document library, no content types, no site columns, no navigation and no permissions model attached to the project, and no risk, stakeholder or decision register at any tier. Project for the Web, the closest thing to a SharePoint story, retired in August 2025.
We are not competing with the Gantt chart
If what you need is critical path, baselines and resource levelling, buy Microsoft's and we will tell you so in the first call. ProjectPoint provisions the workspace and creates the Planner board inside it. Most teams end up running both.
