Turbo Mode: Build Power Platform With an AI Coding Agent

Stop clicking every change. Review AI-written changes instead.

Bauer Automate is a Microsoft 365 and Power Platform consultancy in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Turbo Mode is a fixed-fee package for teams that build on Power Platform. We connect your development environment to Git, set it up for an AI coding agent, and train your team to review the agent's changes as pull requests.

Why now

Your team already pays for AI. Power Platform cannot use it yet.

AI coding agents like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot work on files in a repository. Your Power Platform solutions live inside an environment, where the agent cannot see them. So your team keeps clicking every change through the maker portal, one at a time.

Turbo Mode closes that gap. We connect your Power Platform development environment to a Git repository on GitHub or Azure DevOps, seed it with a starter kit, and train your team to build with an AI coding agent through pull requests.

The loop

How it works

Four steps, and a person decides at every one of them.

1. Connect

We link your solution to a Git branch and commit the current solution and the starter kit to the repository.

2. Ask and draft

Your team asks the agent for a change on a feature branch. The agent edits the solution and opens a pull request.

3. Review and test

A person reviews and merges the pull request. The change goes into your development environment, where your team tests it.

4. Deploy

A pipeline deploys a managed solution to test and then to production.

No change reaches production without a person merging a pull request, a test in development, and a pipeline. The agent drafts. Your team decides.

What ships

What is in the kit, and what you can add

Three things arrive with the session: the starter kit, an optional set of pipeline templates, and a way of working for small changes.

The Claude Code toolkit (the starter kit)

Committed to your repository on the session day: a CLAUDE.md file that tells the agent your team's rules (work on branches, never edit managed solutions, a person merges every pull request); agent settings that load Microsoft's public Power Platform and Dataverse skills, including its Dataverse Model Context Protocol (MCP) server; and a pull request template with setup steps. It works with Claude Code or GitHub Copilot. You buy the agent seats.

Optional deployment pipeline templates

Templates for Azure DevOps and for GitHub Actions that pack your solution, import it to development, and deploy a managed solution to test and production. Ask us in the consultation whether you want them added to your package.

The same-day build lane

A small, well-scoped change can ship the same day: the agent drafts, a person reviews, your team tests, the pipeline deploys. It uses the same gates as everything else, and we do not promise a timeline for any specific feature. Larger features are scoped separately.

Fit check

Who Turbo Mode is for

Three signs it fits, and five things to have ready.

It fits when

  • Your team builds Power Platform solutions in a dedicated development environment and wants to move faster without losing control of what ships.
  • Your organization already pays for an AI coding agent, or is ready to, and wants its Power Platform work to use it.
  • Your security policy limits outside access to the tenant. We build in our own environment and transfer the repository to you.

What you need first

  • Seats for the AI coding agent you choose, Claude Code or GitHub Copilot. We do not resell them.
  • A Dataverse development environment and an unmanaged solution.
  • An administrator available for setup (two weeks of lead time for Ignition, or setup calls with us for Full Throttle).
  • GitHub or Azure DevOps. GitHub is our default because most agent tooling lives there; Microsoft's native GitHub integration is in preview, so if your policy rules out preview features we use Azure DevOps.
  • Managed Environments (premium licences) only for native Git integration or Power Platform pipelines. You can start without them.

What sits on top

Turbo Mode speeds up how you build

Turbo Mode covers build and deploy, also called application lifecycle management (ALM). Two separate packages sit on top of it:

We run this loop on our own builds. When your security rules block outside access to your tenant, we build in ours and transfer the repository to you at handover.

Frequently asked questions

Six questions teams ask before the first session.

What is Turbo Mode?

Turbo Mode is a fixed-fee package from Bauer Automate that connects your Power Platform development environment to a Git repository and trains your team to build with an AI coding agent. The agent drafts a change, a person reviews it as a pull request, your team tests it in development, and a pipeline deploys it.

What is the difference between Ignition and Full Throttle?

Ignition is for a team that completes the setup checklist itself: Bauer Automate runs one live remote session for up to 8 people and shows the first change on a sample solution. Full Throttle is for a team that wants it running on real work: Bauer Automate does the setup with your administrator, runs one session for up to 12 people, and makes the first change on your own solution with your team driving.

Do we need Managed Environments?

Not to start. You can begin with Microsoft's command-line tools and GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps pipelines. Managed Environments, with premium licences, are needed only when you want Git integration in the maker portal or Power Platform pipelines.

Can the AI change production on its own?

No. A person merges every pull request, your team tests in development, and a pipeline deploys a managed solution. The agent drafts. Your team decides.

Can you work if we do not allow outside access to our tenant?

Yes. We build in our own environment and GitHub repository, you import managed solutions on your schedule, and we transfer the repository to your GitHub organization at handover.

Can a small change go from discussion to production in one day?

It can, for a small change that passes a person's review, a test in development and the pipeline. We do not promise a timeline for any specific feature, and no change skips those three gates.
